Chiropractic Therapy

Chiropractic therapy is a form of alternative medicine targeted at resolving musculoskeletal conditions through the use of chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy, and rehabilitation exercises. Traditionally, people seek chiropractic care most commonly for spinal conditions, but it can also help in treating extremity issues as well, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder impingement, and hip and knee issues. In addition to general health, chiropractors can also help to maintain recovery and performance, as many professional-level sports teams also utilize their services.

The main unique tool of a chiropractor is called a chiropractic adjustment, or manipulation. This involves an assessment of the range of motion in certain joints. If any joints are felt to be restricted, then a small thrust, is delivered to help recover some of that range of motion. The thrust, which is called a chiropractic adjustment or manipulation, is typically a high-velocity, low-amplitude force, and is not aggressive. There may be cracking or popping noises associated with the adjustment - don’t worry, it is just gas pressure being released, similar to when someone cracks their knuckles!

If you are suffering with any musculoskeletal-related pain or are looking to feel yourself move with more ease, please do not hesitate to book an assessment with a chiropractor!
